Privacy Policy

Overview
Pack-fit runs in your browser. There are no accounts and nothing to sign up for. This policy describes the little information involved in using it.
What we collect
Nothing through the app itself. Pack-fit does not ask for your name or email, and your packing list is never sent to us. So that a reload does not lose it, the backpack and gear you choose are saved in your own browser (see below). Exporting the list as a PDF or CSV file saves it on your device; importing a file reads it in your browser only.
The fit estimate and the 3D view are calculated on your device. Your choices are not sent to us.
Cookies, local storage and analytics
Pack-fit does not set cookies and does not use analytics, tracking or advertising. It uses your browser's local storage for one thing: your current packing list (the backpack, the items and how you placed them), so it is still there after a reload. It stays on your device, is not sent to us, and is removed when you use “Clear all items” or clear this site's data in your browser. If we ever add anything else, we will update this policy first.
Web hosting
The service that hosts Pack-fit may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, time and the page requested, to keep the site secure and working, as most websites do. We do not use these logs to identify you.
Links to other sites
The “Specs and sources” page links to manufacturers' websites. When you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies.
If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply and to act on your request, and keep them only as long as needed for that.
Children
Pack-fit is made for adults planning trips, not for children under 13. Since it collects nothing, it holds no information about children either.
Changes
If what Pack-fit does with information ever changes, this page changes first, with a new date at the top.
